Guidelines

Rules for submitting your artwork

We welcome artwork from artists at all stages.
To keep the gallery focused, fair, and high-quality, please read the following guidelines before submitting.

What You Can Submit

  • Original drawings or drawing-based works
  • Digital or analogue formats
  • Personal or professional projects
  • Work that reflects your own creative voice

What Is Not Allowed

Submissions will be rejected if they include:

  • Work that is not your own
  • Copyrighted material without permission
  • Explicit, offensive, or discriminatory content
  • AI-generated images presented as original drawings (unless clearly stated and conceptually relevant)
  • Low-quality uploads (blurry, poorly lit, or heavily compressed images)
  • Watermarks, logos, or promotional overlays

Image Requirements

To ensure consistency across the gallery:

  • Upload a clear, well-lit image of your work
  • Maintain correct orientation (portrait/landscape)
  • Avoid extreme cropping that cuts off the artwork
  • Use a high-resolution file where possible

Your image will be automatically resized and optimised for display.

Submission Process

  1. Submit your artwork using the submission form
  2. Your work will appear in My Submissions with a status
  3. Each submission is reviewed by a moderator before publication

Submission Statuses

  • Pending review – awaiting moderation
  • Needs changes – requires edits before approval
  • Approved – published in the gallery
  • Rejected – not accepted for publication

Editing Your Submission

  • You can edit your submission while it is Pending or marked Needs changes
  • Once approved, edits may require re-review
  • If changes are requested, please update your work promptly

Moderation

All submissions are reviewed to ensure they meet these guidelines.

Moderation focuses on:

  • Relevance to drawing-based work
  • Image quality and presentation
  • Adherence to content rules

Moderators may:

  • Approve your work
  • Request changes
  • Reject submissions that do not meet the guidelines

Decisions are made to maintain the overall quality and integrity of the gallery.

After Approval

Once approved:

  • Your artwork will be published in the gallery
  • It will be visible to all visitors
  • Minor adjustments (such as formatting or optimisation) may be applied

Fair Use & Responsibility

By submitting, you confirm that:

  • You created the work
  • You have the right to share it
  • You agree to it being displayed publicly on this platform

Final Notes

We aim to create a supportive and inspiring space for artists.
If your work is not approved, you are welcome to refine and resubmit.

If you want, I can tailor the tone (more formal, more gallery-like, or more friendly) or align it tightly with your exact UI labels and flows.
